Fix X, Instagram & TikTok embeds in Telegram

Updated July 2026 · 3 min read
Short answer

Telegram has the same problem as Discord: the platforms serve broken preview metadata. The same fixer domains solve it — fxtwitter.com, kkinstagram.com, tnktok.com — and tdy applies them automatically when you copy a link on a Mac.

Why previews break in Telegram

Telegram's link previews come from its crawler (the "Telegram Bot" user agent) reading a page's OpenGraph tags. X serves unreliable metadata to logged-out crawlers, Instagram serves a login wall, and TikTok serves very little — so the message shows a bare link, a title with no video, or nothing at all. It's the platforms, not Telegram.

The fix is the same as on Discord

Community fixer services fetch the post properly and serve clean metadata that Telegram renders as a full preview — playable video included:

https://fxtwitter.com/user/status/1234567890

The same swap works per platform: kkinstagram.com for Instagram, tnktok.com for TikTok. Full details in our Discord guide — everything there applies to Telegram too.

Worth knowing: fixers are independent, community-run services — not affiliated with tdy or the platforms. The fixed link points at their servers; that’s what makes the embed work.

Automatic, for every chat

This is where fixing at the clipboard shines: Telegram bots can rewrite links in groups they're added to, but nothing covers your DMs, channels you don't admin, and the jump between apps. tdy rewrites the link the moment you copy it — so the fixed version is what you paste into Telegram, Discord, Slack and iMessage alike, with the tracking parameters already stripped.

One fix for every chat app.

tdy rewrites links on your clipboard — embeds fixed, tracking stripped. Native, one-time purchase, no subscription.
